DustenStein 3 years ago Sure. Good card then
Poondaedalin3 years ago On average, Adaptation is worth about +2/+1, which makes this slightly better than Rockpool Hunter, a card that was run almost unanimously in Murloc decks. Granted, this is confined to Shaman, but that doesn't take away from the fact that it's quite a powerful card despite its randomness.
DustenStein 3 years ago Really?
Randomizer3 years ago @DustinStein Completely disagree. Just because powercreep happened does not mean some of the strongest cards of previous metas don't hold up today. The strength of Adapt is in flexibility, and the strength of a 2 Mana 2/3 Adapt is in tempo. Rockpool Hunter would still hold up today in dedicated Murloc decks because 2 Mana 3/4 is good tempo, this is a Rockpool + Kill Potential with +3 Attack + Trade Potential with Shield + Kill with Poisonous. I don't see why this wouldn't be good in a modern Murloc deck.
FriendlyShadow 3 years ago *Poisonous
FriendlyShadow 3 years ago I would choose +3 Attack or Windfury or Poisionous. :jaraxxus-thinking:
DustenStein 3 years ago *With "With Murlocs you can get +2 Health for 1 more mana." I mean +2 Health to all Murlocs and not +2 Health to this minion.
DustenStein 3 years ago With Murlocs you can get +2 Health for 1 more mana. With Murlocs you buff the board, not single pieces. Idk, if Rockpool saw play, this would have probably too. And with the Quest and all...
We can all agree though that this would not be able to hold up now, right?
FriendlyShadow 3 years ago MURLOC SHAMAN
I like this.
Gothe3 years ago Crackling Razormaw was better because Beasts are more varied in what they can do. Murlocs mainly just go brrrr.
TheArcanist (4.4)3 years ago @DustenStein Crackling Razormaw was a staple turn 2 play for its entire lifespan in Standard. You'd happily play it on an Alleycat. This card isn't weak at all.
Mega-Pixel 3 years ago Rockpool Hunter was a pretty popular Murloc card, this is it but it can also be a bigger Toxfin, a better Argent Protector, etc.. There are some lower rolls but overall I think it could be played
DustenStein 3 years ago Not sure. Feels kind of weak tbh. The beast somewhat worked because Beasts are big. I'm not sure a single Adapt is worth it with Murlocs
