Loxeres4 years ago I think that the design of this card is amazing, but it is absolutely broken and would be forever auto-included in every Paladin deck. The 3 mana 3/4 with Divine Shield alone would be enough to justify that and even if Bolvar Prime just filled your hand with DK cards, it would be amazing value generator, but he also makes them all free and unless you had full hand or get only the 2 cards, which could be bad, then you just roll out of control.
Marleon (4.2) (creator)4 years ago Death Knight cards often harm you when you play them. The best ones here would be Death and Decay, Death Coil and Frostmourne. But if you get a bunch of Doom Pacts, Death Grips or Obliterates, they don't do that much. Anti-Magic Shell and Army of the Dead are both quite situational. It's not a insta win by any extent, but it will surely help you win, however often at a price that if you don't run fast, you might hurt youself pretty bad in the process

Like I know you aren't guaranteed to draw it every game, but it's bad design if you basically win when you draw it.
keyvnn94 years ago The primes do have premium stats, but I think 3/3 Divine Shield is premium. They’re not “overstatted,” just “premium” (4/4 Rush, 3/4 Taunt, 4/3 Spell Damage)
quakins4 years ago Frankly most of the Primes have crazy stats before they actually become Prime.
Kapiork (3.9)4 years ago @Yoshi Well, Illidan used to be unplayable trash card before he was promoted to a DH hero. Now Xavius, also an important lore figure, is a trash legendary. :annoy-o-tron:
Yoshi4 years ago Bolvar: is an important lore character
Blizz: did you say Unplayable Trash Card?
Marleon (4.2) (creator)4 years ago Well, I know the cards, that exist in the game, I played during GvG. But I didn't think it was much of an issue, as Silvermoon Guardian is a weak noncompetetive card. I guess it could be simply renamed to "Bolvar, Silver Hand Champion" or something
keyvnn94 years ago 3 mana 3/4 Divine Shield seems a bit overtuned, even compared to the other primes. I think 3/3 would be competitive, as there is a 4 mana 3/3 Divine Shield.
Also, the name has been taken by this unplayable GvG card unfortunately
