You can fit this guy into the lore. The Naga curse didn't change his appearance since he already was a fishman but it made him evil.

If is not a Naga, it is unlikely that he belongs to the lore of the sunken cards. The Azsharan-Sunken mechanic reflects the society of the night elves before and after the transformation into Naga. The Azsharan cards represent the society of Zin-Azshari, the sunken ones that of Nazjatar.

But yes, they are things of lore. The card is beautiful and that's the important thing.

I mean, I guess if you were really going to argue flavor, it does seem weird that this stays a pirate full and full, but eh, Pirate synergies.

@Muroz my comment was a reply to Gosha's. But yeah, it's not important

Yeah, it really isn't too important.

"Azsharan" card, Dusten, not "Sunken". :tinyfin:

I mean, there are some Mechs that pretty much just sank, and pirates turned into ghosts. It doesn't really matter. And this guy is not a naga (he's some sort of fishman lmao).

If the sunken card is a Naga, yes
Murozondy 2 years ago
@Gosha
Exactly. They do not have to represent Naga, but the Elves of the court of Azshara before the cataclysm of the first war.

Aren't the Azsharan cards supposed to represent the elves before the whole city sunk?
TheArcanist (4.4) (creator)2 years ago
And @Murozondy I think the artwork is fitting, in the first one he's just below the surface and in the second one he's somewhere deep and turned evil.

@Dustenstein
But what do you mean, forgive me? :tinyfin:
Did anyone force Arcanist to use that illustration? Of course not, he/she chose it. I just said it looks like an illustration of an Azshara elf post transformation card, not pre, as an "Azsharan" card should be. The rest is very interesting. :)

Only one of the Fireballs can go face so I think it's fine. Might be strong, but I don't think it's too good. Note that it's a Deathrattle, so you generally need to trade off the first half to fully utilize it.

Swordfish synergy is pretty strong here. 2 Fireballs for 3 mana is a solid battlecry. Overall, strong
DustenStein 2 years ago
You can't always choose the art. And I guess when this sank, it just turned evil
Murozondy 2 years ago
Aside from the illustration on the first card which doesn't reflect the "Azsharan" theme, it's really nice!

Remade as a Pirate to synergize better with Rogue's current packages. Best with Swordfish, also can be drawn by Cutlass Courier. Thoughts?
