Shoemanband1 year ago The card itself isn't bad, but if this mechanic was made into a keyword, it would be hard to design other cards around it since the condition is pretty difficult to achieve.
DustenStein 1 year ago I mean, 2/3 Taunt Rus is not bad, is it? You could play this on its own and, if you merge them, you double their output
Shoemanband1 year ago There are very few cards that can reliably copy cards in your hand and they're limited to some specific classes, so as a keyword, I think this would have a lot of limitations. However, there are a lot of cards that copy from the board or summon copies onto the board. If you extend the condition to include copies on the board, either merging onto the board or being returned to your hand, then that could open up a lot of interactivity.
DustenStein 1 year ago Hm sure
TheArcanist (4.4) (creator)1 year ago The keyword is 'to be broken into pieces' or 'to be part of something bigger'. At least that's how I see it.
DustenStein 1 year ago If the keyword is to combine, using a synonym for that sounds more appropriate
TheArcanist (4.4) (creator)1 year ago But 'merge' seems kinda bad for a keyword name, no? Could be something like 'Fractured' or 'Riven'.
DustenStein 1 year ago If you decide to make it a keyword, use "Merge" because Shattered is C'Thun who splits into pieces while this is more like... well, Merging
TheArcanist (4.4) (creator)1 year ago This could be keyworded, hm.
Keyword: Shattered: (X) - at the end of your turn, if you're holding X of these, they merge!
So this would be Shattered: (2).
Or something like that.
DustenStein 1 year ago Merging is still great tho
DustenStein 1 year ago I like this although that probably means nothing in this case :tinyfin:
TheArcanist (4.4) (creator)1 year ago Remade based on @DustenStein's advice. Thoughts?
