He's a Man'ari (demon) disguised as a demon hunter operating around the continent of Azeroth. This is because he abandoned the Legion and he'd be hunted without a disguise. Now, he doesn't work for the Illidari; he's much too greedy for that. He wants to be rich and powerful, so while under the guise of a noble cause, he made many pacts with the local thugs and criminals. Eventually, some joined his ranks and some even turned into "golden" demon hunters under his monetary rule.
In battle, he starts in disguise, but show him enough riches and he will fight at full power.
DustenStein 3 years ago Why does the Lord Barov set all minion's Health to 1 and deal 1 damage to all minions when he dies? There are two good kinds of Legendaries: The effect fits the lore & the effect is too strong for a card of lower rarity

Lucious (creator)3 years ago It's designed to be a powerful control tool, but I don't think it's that easy to trigger. Although, Twin Slice and Skull of Gul'dan are definitely problematic.

ApolloSunGod83 years ago This is a better card for Rouge because they're the ones who play a lot of cards but also this is way too powerful. Playing 5 cards in either class (DH or Rouge) isn't too difficult and the payoff is a lot.
It would also be unfun to play against in one turn, the opponent could clear up to 6 minions and heal to full.
