Stevethebarbarian 3 years ago You're overthinking it, Poondaedalin. All of them are scrapped from Basic. It's confirmed that all of WoW's playable races were intended to be minion types early in development, that includes Goblin/Worgen/Undead. The only major exception is Quillboar, which we know is brand new.
FriendlyShadow 3 years ago cool
Poondaedalin3 years ago If Tribes can be unmarked, I think I can guess where some of these could come from:
Gnome: Gnomenapper encounter from Witchwood? (has a card called Sack of Gnomes that summons seven random gnomes)
Goblin: Not sure? Goblin and Gnome tribes could also be layovers from GvG
Worgen: I'd say either Witchwood or scrapped idea from Basic set
Elf: Definitely scrapped tribe from Basic set
Human: Already mentioned it below
Dwarf: Scrapped tribe from Basic, or perhaps BRM?
Undead: Scrapped tribe from KotFT/used in the KT vs. Rafaam Tavern Brawl
Troll: No clue.
Orc: Also no clue. Scrapped Basic tribe maybe?
Quillboar: It will be added to Battlegrounds as a new tribe, but it won't carry over into the other modes.
FriendlyShadow 3 years ago I think Human type is kinda useless... but Undead type would be more interesting but Undead Dragons would make me confused.
keyvnn93 years ago Ok it wasnt a hero power, it was minion Gluth from the tavern brawl
keyvnn93 years ago I was thinking Undead because there was a hero power from a tavern brawl that summoned undeads, but according to a reddit post the following all work: Gnome -Goblin -Worgen -Elf -Human -Dwarf -Undead -Troll -Orc -Quilboar
Poondaedalin3 years ago Weren't they planning on adding that in Knights of the Frozen Throne? I think I remember hearing that from a long time ago.
FriendlyShadow 3 years ago Undead type?
OMG!
That would be soo cool!
keyvnn93 years ago Just checked and Undead works too with Amalgam
Poondaedalin3 years ago It was planned to be a minion tribe a LOOONG time ago. In fact, if you go into your Collection and search up Human in the search bar, the two Amalgams will come up, since it's still technically a tribe in the game's files, albeit completely unused.
Darn.

Human is a type?
How?
