Marleon (4.2) (creator)1 year ago To be fair, it only working for you isn't that big of a deal. It makes your first draw slightly better, but potentialy worse if you run it in a deck with expensive cards or something that wouldnt be really synergistic at that point in the game. Compared to Tuskarr Trawler, this is less flexible since you can't Dredge into your "From The Depths", Faelin or other things that would benefit from it. Setting up a play potentialy a few turns in the future doesn't seem that bad. And in aggro decks, it can be highrolly, but most often than not it doesnt give you a huge advantage as most cards on the same powerlevel.
RasmusVJS (3.9)1 year ago It's definitely not worse, since you don't even need to play, or even draw, this card to benefit from it. A benefit that you get from just running a card in your deck will always be extremely strong.
DustenStein 1 year ago The upside is so small though. It's worse than if it was a Battlecry, no? You can't Dredge for anything sunken
RasmusVJS (3.9)1 year ago When the benefit is card-filtering, most certainly. Every deck (except ones that can't) would run this if it wasn't symmetric.
DustenStein 1 year ago with an effect so minor, running a yeti is a cost. Not all decks can afford that
RasmusVJS (3.9)1 year ago Obligatory "Positive Start of Game effects need a downside or restriction" comment.
Marleon (4.2) (creator)1 year ago Maybe it should only affect the player's side then, since playing a 4 mana 4/5 is a cost in itself
TheArcanist (4.4)1 year ago Don't think making your first draw a bit more consistent is good enough to run a crappy Yeti.
Murozondy 1 year ago Nice, although I don't know if it would actually be played :tinyfin:
Marleon (4.2) (creator)1 year ago Do you think this would be a balanced Start of Game effect?
