So we’re going back in time to jade rogue? Does this make the unplayable archetype now playable? Not overly sure it does. Maybe?
Spacetime04192 years ago Yes but id argue this requires buildaround to not be extremely slow. And jade rogue was far and away the worst of the jade classes. (In before “you don’t need any other jade cards for this.” Technically, sure. But it’s very, Very slow without. A 1/1 the following turn, to skip your turn 4, is very slow.
DustenStein 2 years ago Skull of Manari requires you to have Demons in hand. Together with other Jade Golem cards, this is too much
Spacetime04192 years ago Still disagreeing. You absolutely can cite tech options as a balance point to a card. Has happened an infinite number of times in the past. So you can say “these don’t mean anything,” but you saying it doesn’t make it factual.

The problem with cards that NEED immediate tech to be countered is that 90% of the time you won't have the tech card in hand until it's too late. This downside doesn't mean much unless the MUST DIE threat occurs later in the game (a balanced version of this is Rattlegore, gets stuffed by silence but doesn't come down until turn 9.

You don't want to print a card that forces every single deck to run Rustrot Viper. This really is broken.
Spacetime04192 years ago Meh, ooze can keep this in check. People are overhyping this. It’s a good card, no doubt. But it’s like skull of mandari, which immediately started summoning huge things. Meh, it’s good, doesn’t scream “omg insane” to me. Not with viper existing
Stevethebarbarian 2 years ago Because this is totally uncomparable to Warlock Quest, Ignite consumes your draws and card advantage, and so does Jade Idol. You just play this for 4 and get free stats with no downside except not buttoning for the rest of the game.
