kitsuneko345 (creator)5 years ago Creator here. Artwork by Javier Valdez. Some input on the card: Shouldn't gain any enchantments when re-equipped. Originally was to be neutral as a 5 Mana 3/3, but Twig made that choice unapproachable. Paladin had Val'anyr (so that's a hard no) and Warrior Balded Gauntlet (a softer no). Hunter had too few weapons and Shaman would have been the second choice. Ultimately thought Kingsbane Rogue wouldn't want this as adding another Kingsbane to the deck makes the deck unreliable and lose tempo in the process, though a one-of makes me reconsider lowering the stats to 4/2 akin to other oozes or just changing the class to Shaman or Warrior. Should have been called Outfitted Ooze, but alliteration is overrated. Overall, thanks for the input.
Anonymous3185 years ago @Paranoia Good find. Didn't consider the interaction with Kingsbane. Niche upside which bolsters an existing archetype without being versatile enough to throw in every weapon-based deck.
Paranoia5 years ago I agree with you for it not being too good in general because of how damn slow it is. However this is to Kingsbane Rogue like Cube is to Cubelock, it generates so much value (big attack on board, repair Kingsbane, shuffle another into deck...), making it an amazing include.
Anonymous3185 years ago @MrGruyere I disagree. By comparison to Phantom Freebooter, this has +1/+1 and repairs your weapon (often: +1 Durability) in exchange for disabling your weapon while it is alive. Consider also that this is a class card, and that Freebooter was often run as a 1 of, even in dedicated Pirate decks. Could you explain your reasoning in more detail?
