DestroyerR5 years ago @keyvvn9 that’s already getting into unnecessary speculations for a custom card site, though. We all know what Spare Parts are here, so it doesn’t make much sense to me changing the card’s design because of hypothetical new players
keyvnn95 years ago @DestroyerR Most players weren’t around for GvG, and most players probably don’t watch YouTube videos of GvG.
DestroyerR5 years ago @keyvnn9 but many players would already know about Spare Parts. It certainly doesn’t have the same weight as, say, Xaril’s Toxins.
keyvnn95 years ago @DestroyerR This would be the only Standard card to do it, which means that it effectively has 7 of its own tokens that players would need to know to use this effectively. If it was GvG it would be find as a Common, but that is the only set that ever has (and probably ever will) use Spare Parts.
DestroyerR5 years ago @keyvvn9 but this card isn’t complex at all. There are a lot of examples to common cards that generate Spare Parts
keyvnn95 years ago @Destroyer Rarity correlates with complexity in most cases.
DestroyerR5 years ago @keyvnn9 ...did I miss something? What would Rarity change? I’m genuinely confused right now
keyvnn95 years ago @Grock Mutt On a Legendary, it makes sense for a bunch. Animal companion is only 3. I checked and there are 7 Spare Parts.
@DestroyerR I do think this would probably be fine as an Epic, but for a Common it’s a bit much to have 7 tokens. If it was GvG it could easily be Common though.
Then again, that is just my opinion, and those haven’t always been the best :P
DestroyerR5 years ago @keyvnn9 honestly, I see no problem with mixing and matching mechanic from different expansions. It would significantly narrow the creativity of the cards if there were certain effects that couldn’t appear together, and we certainly wouldn’t want that
Grock Mutt5 years ago I think it's fine. Plenty of cards don't list the effects you get; think Lich King, Ysera, Animal companion. Compared to those cards, if you think of Spare Parts as entirely new token cards then it's honestly not that bad.
HeyBuddyChum5 years ago @keyvnn9 that's a good point, maybe if this was a gvg card it would make more sense but "projects" are a boomsday thing... yeah I've got nothing, cool card though
keyvnn95 years ago @HeyBuddyChum Giggling Inventor says what they are. This card means memorizing (5 I think?) different cards from 3 years ago. On a common.

Spare Parts are GvG.
