Gothe2 years ago Wel. It does check the box for that the keyword, if written out, would be too long. Like "Battlecry: Put a Casts When Drawn spell on top of your deck that gives Night Knight +2/+2."
I think it's fine, but I would lie to see more examples rather than 2, and more complex cards than just having Taunt or a spell that doesn't do anything else.
platypus21732 years ago does the cast when drawn card go on top?
Caesar (4.1)3 years ago Right, that wording feels better for the reasons already said; and it's pretty much the same effect unless the card you draw is not from the top of the deck.
But the concept and the cards are very nice and worth building on
DustenStein 3 years ago Well, your wording is very literal. Might as well be written out but also not because it's very long. It's feels very weird to have a mechanic use another. If you want to remake this, I suggest using A"wakening: The next time when you draw a card, does something" simply because it feels more like a keyword, more realistic and there's more space to play around in. You also would need half as many tokens :)
FriendlyShadow (creator)3 years ago Dark Lotus is essentially a ... I don't know ... is a "playing with your card draw" card. You can activate Combo and Interesting with Secret Passage.
FriendlyShadow (creator)3 years ago I guess...
I mean the card looks cool and tells you a story. Get it? Flavor!
FriendlyShadow (creator)3 years ago "Awakening: The next time when you draw a card, does something" is an interesting idea but this strange wording enables more design space.
DustenStein 3 years ago Dark Lotus wouldn't work as well but there I think you can just write it out
DustenStein 3 years ago I think this is quite unelegant. It could just work like Spellburst only for when you draw a card.
Then, cards like "Awakening: If it's a spell, reduce its Cost by (2)" would work very well
FriendlyShadow (creator)3 years ago Thanks. I haven’t really figured out what cards are good for this keyword. Do you have any ideas?
plus
@Deloa actually if you have a card draw card the effect is activated immediately.

floof
That's just so holesome :tinyfin:
Any awakening cards that need you to still control the minion is probably quite bad, but the lotus is nice.
I very much like the lotus
The sleep ends. Let the fun begin!
