Forgot to reply, but yes. The third HP fired by Reckless was a regular Fireblast

I think it works like Rune of Archmage, which says that spells are cast on enemies, but that just means they are priority targets. If there's no priority target/a certain spell/hero power can't target priority target, it will be cast on any target available
Caesar (4.1)1 year ago
The way Reckless works is it doesn't check what your HP does. It just shoots it once for each enemy (targeting the enemy if possible), so this gets fired more than once (and also loses charges because yes, it's logical xD)

I think Monke was answering to me, Dusten.

If this is how it works, then fine, but I won't say it makes sense because it doesn't. Armor Up! or anything that doesn't target shouldn't work at all. At best this should fire once because it's literally already directed 'at all enemies' as Reckless says.
DustenStein 1 year ago
@Marleon was the third shot a Fireblast then or did the Metamorphosis damage still continue?
@DatBoi no, it should continue since the minions don't disappear from the board until all shots are fired.
@Monke the question wasn't whether it works with untargeted Hero Powers but rather whether it would use up the charges.
MonkeDrip#1456 1 year ago
If you swap HP to Armor up for example Reckless will trigger it for each enemy. So it would make sense to work like Metamorphosis.

But, if Reckless Apprentice says 'Fire your HP at all enemies' and your HP has no target but already hits all enemies, shouldn't Reckless Apprentice do nothing? Or better, just fire your HP once and then stop?
Marleon (4.2)1 year ago
Okay, after 2 months but I did test the interaction between Metamorphosis and Reckless Apprentice.

The anwser is: It indeed DOES use up the two uses.
Marleon (4.2)2 years ago
Well, we need to check how Metamorphosis interacts with Reckless to be sure
DustenStein 2 years ago
For the purpose of this card, we assumed it would wear off after two uses from Reckless. I'm not sure it would work that way but it would be broken if it didn't
DragonicDoom 2 years ago
Yeah this would definitely need to cost 5, and even then Marleon makes a good point with how it interacts with Reckless Apprentice. Maybe make it enemy minions? That way its still a strong board clear but it doesn't have the Altruis problem of being a board clear and face damage as well.
Marleon (4.2)2 years ago
This can complete Mordresh in a single usage, or at leas singnificantly push him forward. As well as using this with Reckless triggers it to deal 2 damage to all enemies each, so essentially each minion is additional damage face. This offers too much face damage potential for such a low cost
DustenStein 2 years ago
Maybe it is fine at 3 mana. Consecration made me think since this is that but in a class that has more board clear options. I'm just worried it would be a bit oppressive to not be able to play smaller minions since you know your opponent has that 2 mana Flamestrike at the ready
Caesar (4.1)2 years ago
B-but for a 4 mana do nothing Mage can discount the whole deck...and it's not even good anymore! :qnikkoWOW: :annoy-o-tron:
Yeah I agree with Steve, hitting face might be justified (from a tradition standpoint) by the fact that it's a Mage HP...
Stevethebarbarian 2 years ago
Yes, do think of it as AoE two turns in a row… because that’s what it is. Anyway, this probably shouldn’t hit face, since aside from Apprentice, Mage’s AoE unilaterally hits minions, not minions and face. The balance is totally fine though, at 4 it’d be bad and at 5 it’d be a joke. (9 mana worse pre-buff Flamestrike, lmfao)
DustenStein 2 years ago
*3 mana
DustenStein 2 years ago
It doesn't even have to be in a row. A 2 mana Consecration+ whenever you want is too much for 4 mana investment
DustenStein 2 years ago
Think of this as a Reckless Apprentice two turns in a row. AoE two turns in a row

Mage can afford to have stronger Hero Power cards than Demon Hunter. This is worse than a 7 mana "Deal 4 damage to all enemies" at baseline, so it's totally fine that Wildfire can buff this.
DustenStein 2 years ago
I'd still put this at 4. Unlike Demon Hunter's or the normal Mage Hero Power, this upgrades not by +1 for each Wildfire but by however many enemies there are.
Caesar (4.1)2 years ago
I mean, if you add the numbers up it's just an old Flamestrike with extra steps (that can also go face)
Plus the Wildfire synergy that makes this playable :annoy-o-tron:
Caesar (4.1)2 years ago
But DH's HP costs 1, that's why Metamorphosis used to be so good. I think this is fine, maybe 4 definitely not 5.
(If Reckless Fire Apprentice only fires it twice and then gets back to pinging, which I think is the case)
ggrya 2 years ago
ok maybe you are right
CakeIsGood 2 years ago
yes i agree this is too cheap
DustenStein 2 years ago
I also think
DustenStein 2 years ago
Unlike DH, Mage can buff their Hero Power damage. I also 3 is too little
ggrya 2 years ago
@SMILE, no, that's the right cost
SMILE 2 years ago
This definitely costs 5
