for a 1 mana buff

As I've said, this would he better if the second condition would just allow you to choose a second target

bladeflurry could also count. but this is pretty strong, my idea was that getting this to be a combo and outcast is probably gonna make it hard to pull off. would making it something like a 3/3 make it more balanced?

Full list of Rogue AoEs:
Vanish
Scabbs himself

end of list. And those don't even kill stuff but bounce it which is what rogues do. And Vanish was banned to wild because it didn't fit rogue. AoEs are supposed to he Rogue's weakness and if you're giving them a 6 mana twisting nether on a 5/5, you're going strictly against that. (not to say that this would be balanced in any other class)

rogue already has aoe, if you count vanish and scabbs himself. outcast does make sense, he is outcast from si:7 and sent to the stockade, and in this card he managed to escape alone and devoted himself to getting revenge on onyxia and the dragons.

If you are going to break established rules of keywords more power to you but the card needs to be good enough to support such a risky move and Scabbs here lets us down. Both in power level and in flavor. Firstly, AOE is not something Rogue is supposed to have because it's too much recovery for them. It gets over powered. Therefore destroying that many minions is too much for a Rogue card.

Secondly, in the flavor department, Scabbs doesn't fit with the Outcast keyword because he isn't really an Outcast. If I'm remembering the story correctly he is a member of the SI:7 and when he and the other Alliance characters return to Stormwind the SI:7 welcome him rather than shun him like they should if he were an Outcast. You do have a fight with the SI:7 leader but firstly he's just doing it to test your skills and secondly Hearthstone only has one way to bring across stories and that's fighting so he has too.

I'm all for experimenting with keywords and giving them to classes that aren't supposed to have them. I even think Outcast is a good keyword to give to Rogue. Hunter would work pretty well too. I just think this particular example isn't very good.

I really don't want to get into this so I'll keep it brief but neither are Overload and Combo. Those are arbitrary rules but rules nonetheless

overload, sure, its a very shaman thing. combo meh, but alright. but outcast? its not really anything unique to demon hunters, and mechanic wise its also not really special to dh.

Mzop I'm with you :annoy-o-tron:

It is generally accepted here that certain mechanics and keywords are limited to classes while certain others can be experimented outside of their limits. Overload, Combo, Outcast and other class-exclusive keywords that they get from the start usually count as the former while the latter applies to Twinspell and some other probably. It's inconvenient but you'll have to make this a Dual-Class card if you want to use keywords from both classes

its custom hearthstone, the whole point is to experiment with new things, and im not gonna wait for blizzard to do it. if it really bothers you i could remake it as a dual class i guess.

@mzop for the same reason demon hunter doesn’t have combo.
DustenStein 1 year ago
It's a Demon Hunter keyword. Either way, a 6 mana AoE for Rogue is broken. I'd make the second condition "choose another target" and drop this to 5 mana.
Mzop (3.7) (creator)1 year ago
why not?

Why does a rogues only card have outcast...
Murozondy 1 year ago
Outcast? You could do it as a dual class Rogue/DH? :woodenReno:
