Nekkro 1 year ago @Deloa, Blizzard can compete with Riot, it lost a lot of trust and fans. And it also can compete with the Skins, one thing is buy a whole new model 3D, with new animations and effects; other thing is change a JPG for another JPG.
Even the skins in Runeterra offerce you quite more, but tbh the only reason cause Runeterra can affort that is cause League of Legend makes an obsene amount of money.
Deloa1 year ago I didn't play BG for 2 months, but last time I checked, I only had 2 Heroes to chose from and I had to buy the battlepass every season with Gold.
Gothe1 year ago I played without buying the perks for a while and ngl, felt kinda bad knowing I was at a disadvantage against other players who bought it (yes, it's technically a disadvantage because they have more options for different hero powers and I don't). Plus It was hard getting heroes i haven't played yet for achievements and to mess around with them.

Deloa1 year ago Tbh making Battleground completely free from the beginning was kind of a bad move businesswise. They wanted to emulate TFT, bu cosmetic in HS just don't change that much compared to LoL or Moba skins, and I guess they sell a lot less.

It feels bad to only choose from 2 but it is a game mode which only generates revenue from cosmetics right now. It seems it wasn't enough, I can see why they implemented that -2 hero tax. As Nekkro said, it's still free outside of that. I wish it was only a -1 hero tax tho

Its literally the only mode when you don't need to pay, craft, unlock or get anything. The only thing that you need to do is pulse Play.
I mean, Heartstone always was like that. If you buy more packs, you have more cards to make a better deck and you win more.
