In the old days of freeze mage, allowing +2 spell damage for less than 4 mana was crazy, but I'm much more fine with it now

Well, it's not that much of a powecreep. You probably won't play a 2-drop with SP just to buff this. And Lab Partner was kind of cool but not really broken anyway.
