keyvnn9 (creator)3 years ago I feel like this is hard to evaluate, like original Bouncing Blade. Could maybe cost 3, but I dont know if that would be considered for any decks.
My conclusion is essentially that I dont think this breaks anything at 2, and that Hunter will need good cards next cycle.
keyvnn9 (creator)3 years ago My main comparison was Cleave. Most boards that I see and want to answer are of ~3 minions with 2-3 Health. It depends on the opponent: For example would be good against Pure Paladin but less good against Broom since they have a bunch of 1 Health guys. Against super aggro stuff this would be weak, since you cant kill anything with the first shot. Against (I dont like archetype names but) Midrange it’s good, and against Control it’s bad again (like most answer cards)
DustenStein 3 years ago That also depends on their Health though. Against 2 2/2 minions and 1 3/3 this isn't as strong as against 3 8/8s but 2 mana does indeed seem low, unless keyvnn has an explanation/better comparison
Shoemanband3 years ago It's a difficult effect to evaluate, but 2 Mana feels a bit too low for how much it can potentially do. Breaking it down:
- Against one enemy, it's a 2 Mana Arcane Shot.
- Two, it'll destroy the smallest minion and deal damage approximately equal to its Health to the other one.
- Three or more is a Deadly Shot that damages the other enemies randomly, but is most likely to destroy the smallest minion. At worse, it's a Cleave with one target.
Given how strong the high rolls for this can be, and how easy it is to prevent the low rolls (just ping the smaller minions), 2 Mana looks too cheap for this effect.
DustenStein 3 years ago Oh only enemy minions, I see. I wasn't even saying it was unbalanced haha. Just wanted to clarify whether I was missing something and turns out I was
keyvnn9 (creator)3 years ago And you choose a first target, and it only hits enemies, and it cant hit the same one twice in a row (it fizzles if no valid target), and it costs 1 less, and it’s in Hunter. 2 damage also is worse than 1 in this context because the damage will distribute less
DustenStein 3 years ago So bouncing blade but with 2 damage?
