King Kuba4 years ago @keyvnn9 "While clashing with a minion, deals damage before taking it." Shortly speaking, if the minion Zilliax guards has at least 1 Attack and can survive being damaged by 3 two times, then Zilliax gets defeated.
It means Tournament Medic > Zilliax :jaraxxus-thinking:
keyvnn94 years ago @King Kuba Would you mind confirming if you think First Strike would prevent all damage dealt to this when it attacks a minion, or just the very last attack when it kills the minion? If it just prevents the last one, then this is still incredibly powerful, but if it prevents all damage then it is just OP.
Preventing your opponent from playing 3 or less Health minions is very scary, especially because those make up the bulk of a lot of decks.

Wiener_Schnitzel4 years ago @MayonezReyiz you are underestimating it, I think.
See @Stevethebarbarian's comment. I'm pretty sure that First Strike would apply to all attacks from Duel, meaning that Zilliax will destroy almost any minion your opponent plays, while taking no damage at all.
It is also very hard to remove with spells due to the Bulwark+Steadfast combo, as it has already been pointed out. Trading is also tricky, as due to First Strike, minions with 3 or less Health won't damage Zilliax at all. This means that you need minions with 4 or more Attack to trade into Zilliax, and you need 2 because of Steadfast.
Overall, while it lacks the defensive abilities of the original Zilliax, this is an amazing minion that turns a slight advantage into an insurmountable obstacle for your opponent. If anything, it is more powerful than original Zilliax in my opinion.
@Mega-Pixel you have us all now!
MayonezReyiz4 years ago Compared to original zilliax, this zilliax is too underpowered.I mean it is literally 3/1 with divine shield and other keyword are not that good, except for first strike

DestroyerR4 years ago This card is incredible by the way. No bias for using “my” Keyword or anything.
DestroyerR4 years ago @Stevethebarbarian wouldn’t Bulwark cancel your own enchantments as well? So you can only play a buff on this and abuse the Steadfast if your opponent tried to enchant it, which they obviously wouldn’t do
Stevethebarbarian 4 years ago 1: Lucious, you're right, I TOTALLY forgot that Bulwark prevents all enchantments, not just destroy effects. As for Magnetic, I believe the minion would totally fizzle. It would become an echantment, attempt to connect with the Bulwark minion, and then be cancelled out. Basically, it'd be like if the minion was totally Countered.
2: At least as far as I'm aware, Silence isn't an enchantment, it's just the removal of all enchantments and text, and in this case that "text" includes Bulwark itself.
Lucious4 years ago Is everyone forgetting Bulwark will negate YOUR enchantments as well? If you want to cast BoK on this, you first need to cast a 1-cost spell on it, plus then it can easily be destroyed or transformed with a card. Still pretty powerful, but not as much.
What I'm interested in is how would Magnetic work with Bulwark? Would the Magnetic minion just stay on the left and the Bulwark be removed?
King Kuba4 years ago @Stevethebarbarian isn't Silencing also an enchantment?
Stevethebarbarian 4 years ago Also I didn't mention, but I am flattered to see Bulwark used.
Stevethebarbarian 4 years ago Bulwark doesn't block Silence, for the record.
By my estimation, this is a very solid removal and Taunt tool, but not as good as Ziliax. The question is how Duel interacts with First Strike. If only the first hit is First Struck, then this can remove 9 health minions, or kill a 6 health minion and survive. However, if First Strike applies to all of the minion's attacks with Duel, then it can remove a 9-health minion and survive, or remove a 12-health minion, which makes this very solid as both removal and a Taunt. Bulwark doesn't protect against Silence, but it DOES mean that you can't easily hit this with Shadow Word: Pain or something like that, unlike Zilliax. Also, though this isn't important, it means this does better against Poisonous (presuming First Strike synergizes with Duel)
In short, I don't think this is as good as Zilliax, since it's just a worse Assassinate in some cases, and it doesn't provide that precious 6 health gain. However, the combination of First Strike, Duel, and Steadfast (and Bulwark, of course) makes it TERRIFYING with buffs. When played raw, it's fine, but one Blessing of Kings makes this an absolutely monstrous defensive/removal tool, which I think actually makes this unprintably good. I guess that's sorta a problem with Steadfast in general, in that if the minion is buffed, it's just ridiculously hard to remove. Having Bulwark also makes it a motherfcker to remove, since it eats two hard removals.
King Kuba4 years ago About balance - this guy can usually take on a 5-drop and then you need at least a 3 or 4-drop; or two minor spells; or a spell and a weapon. Also, after taking on one effect, we have buffing opportunity, which makes Hearthguard even more incredible. This guy seems to be as strong as OG Zilliax and even more problematic to counter. He's a target of Silence tho, but first you need to remove Bulwark. Overall, I think it's a good composition of keywords, but I would concider changing it to 6-7 mana if this were introduced into the game. 4/5 :reno:
